The Rocky Mountain Appraiser Association (RMAA) is proud to establish the Andrew J. Davis Leadership Award in honor of his life, leadership, and lasting contributions. For more than 40 years, Andrew dedicated his career to advancing the real estate appraisal profession with unwavering integrity, professionalism, and a commitment to excellence. He earned the respect of colleagues and clients alike through his expertise, ethical leadership, and passion for strengthening the appraisal community.
Andrew was an active and dedicated member of RMAA, serving in numerous Board of Director positions and as President from 2020 through February 2022. During one of the most challenging periods in the Association’s history, the COVID-19 pandemic, Andrew’s steady leadership and forward-thinking vision ensured that RMAA continued to serve its members. Under his guidance, the Association successfully transitioned from in-person meetings to a virtual format, preserving opportunities for education, collaboration, and professional connection.
Beyond his many accomplishments, Andrew will be remembered for mentoring fellow appraisers, encouraging professional growth, and leading with conviction, humility, and purpose. His legacy continues to inspire those committed to advancing the appraisal profession.
The Andrew J. Davis Leadership Award recognizes individuals who embody these same qualities by demonstrating exceptional leadership, service, and dedication to the appraisal profession. Through this award, RMAA honors Andrew’s enduring legacy while recognizing those who continue to elevate the profession through their vision, commitment, mentorship, and service.
Call for Nominations
RMAA members are invited to nominate deserving individuals for the Andrew J. Davis Leadership Award by completing the Nomination Form.
Nomination Period: August 15 through October 15 annually
Nominees should demonstrate leadership through some or all of the following:
- Advancing the mission and success of an appraisal organization.
- Empowering and mentoring fellow appraisers.
- Demonstrating vision for the future of the appraisal profession.
- Holding themselves accountable while setting and achieving meaningful professional goals.
- Exhibiting passion, commitment, and significant contributions to advancing the profession.
- Serving their community.
- Demonstrating the courage of their convictions by advocating for what is right, even when it requires determination and perseverance.
The RMAA Board of Directors will review all nominations during the October Board Meeting. The award is intended to be presented annually during a fourth-quarter education class, with the understanding that it may be withheld when no nominee sufficiently reflects the high standard of leadership exemplified by Andrew Davis.
