Ready or not, the broad production period for UAD 3.6 begins today, January 26. All lenders that have updated their systems and processes to support UAD 3.6 appraisal reports have been encouraged by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to start utilizing the new report format right away. While not all lenders will start ordering reports in the new format right away, the new UAD 3.6 appraisal report format will be mandatory for all appraisals beginning on November 2, 2026. If you haven’t yet taken a UAD 3.6 training, now is a great time to find a class. Many clients are asking for certificates of completion for UAD 3.6 training from their appraisers, so make sure that your clients know you are ready to begin accepting these assignments.
