Join us on Monday, February 9th for our course titled “Market Analysis – Market Area vs Competitive Supply” and our annual membership meeting. The shift in the market analysis process has come from the GSEs reviewing and verifying information in appraisal reports for loans that are purchased. This course will answer questions that are common and cover guidance and peer advice. What is the difference between a market area analysis and a competitive supply analysis? This crazy example chart from Fannie and what does it mean for me? Some indicate you must make segmented adjustments while others are not, why the difference? If I use a software program, do I still need to complete more analyses?
Topics Include:
– Typical market trends both seasonal and non-seasonal
– Why use a larger or smaller market area or dataset
– Other factors that impact the price trends
– Wisely using available market analysis tools
Our annual membership meeting will occur between 7:00-7:30, which will be a 30 minute break for non-members, and the second half of the class will resume at 7:30. Please plan to attend this portion of the evening as we will be voting on the 2026 budget and board members.
This course is approved for 2 hours of CE in Colorado and is pending approval in Idaho & Nebraska.
