It’s Official! The Northern Colorado Association of Real Estate Appraisers (NCAREA) is now the Rocky Mountain Appraiser Association (RMAA). After much discussion and contemplation, the Board of Directors unanimously voted on an organizational name change on November 9, 2023, and subsequently received a majority vote by our attending members at our Annual Meeting held on December 11, 2023. This decision was not taken lightly. As an organization, we felt a name change would better represent the geographic location of our current and growing membership, with a majority of our members being located outside Northern Colorado. Currently, we have members located throughout Colorado, Wyoming, and Idaho to name a few.
RMAA (Formerly NCAREA) was established in 2007 and was formed to provide appraisers an organization with regionally, relevant continuing education, and to provide opportunities to exchange ideas and information with our peers. This has not changed. Moving forward, RMAA will continue to provide quality appraisal education to our members, and we will continue our affiliate membership with the Colorado Association of Real Estate Appraisers (CAREA).
Effective Monday, March 11, 2024, we will begin the transition of our website from NCAREA.org to RMAA.org. During this time, you may experience some functionality issues. We request your patience as we continue to work through any “bugs” that may arise; however, we do not anticipate a significant impact. With the implementation of the updated website, your existing username and login information will remain the same. Additionally, any continuing education certificates that may have been uploaded to your prior member profile at NCAREA.org will be available at RMAA.org.
