Beginning January 1, 2026, all credentialed appraisers are required to complete a course that meets the AQB (Appraisal Qualification Board) Valuation Bias and Fair Housing Laws and Regulations Outline every two years. The first time a licensee completes the continuing education requirement for this course, the licensee must complete the seven (7) hour course.

Join us on Friday, May 1 or Friday, May 8 to complete this new required course! The class on May 1 will be held in-person in Boise, ID and available for Zoom attendees. The class on May 8 will be held in-person in Thornton, CO and will also be available for Zoom attendees.

This 7-hour course explores valuation bias and fair housing laws and regulations relevant to real estate appraisers. Participants will learn historical and contemporary contexts of valuation bias, understand federal fair housing and anti-discrimination laws, identify components and manifestations of valuation bias, and apply practical methods and emerging technologies to mitigate bias.

This class will be approved for appraiser CE in Colorado, Idaho, Wyoming and Nebraska.
