The Division of Real Estate sent out their bi-monthly update this week and it includes the renewal information for Colorado appraisers. If you still need to complete the 7-Hour National USPAP Update in order to renew your appraiser license, you can still register for the RMAA USPAP class on Friday, November 8th! Both In-person and Zoom attendance options are available. This class is approved for CE in Colorado, Idaho, Wyoming and Nebraska. Click here for more information or to register.

Here are the guidelines as provided by DORA:

To ensure business continuity and avoid any license renewal delays, it is recommended to apply for license renewal as soon as possible and no later than December 16, 2024, to allow sufficient time for processing and to avoid a lapse in licensure.

Renewal applications received after December 16, 2024, and prior to January 31, 2025, may be subject to the following:

  • An indication on the ASC’s appraiser license search website that the license has expired
  • An audit of all 28 hours of continuing education completed during the license cycle
  • A late renewal penalty fee
  • Additional fines for any incomplete continuing education
